Beschreibung

Colonies of Acropora spathulata are tabular or plate-like, with upright branches whose tips are flattened into spatulas. Corallites are small and aligned. Color is usually brown, gray or pale blue. This species requires very clean water and moderate flow. Growth is slow. It is sensitive to parameter fluctuations. Behavior is peaceful, but can be aggressive if space is limited.

Stable parameters: temperature 24-26°C, pH 8.2-8.4, salinity 1.024-1.025. Moderate to intense lighting, moderate flow. Calcium 420-450 ppm, magnesium 1300-1350 ppm, alkalinity 8-10 dKH. Nitrates <2 ppm, phosphates <0.03 ppm. Minimum tank volume 150 L. Avoid sudden changes. Compatible with other non-aggressive SPS corals. Feed fine zooplankton twice a week.
