Beschreibung
Blue clove polyp is a colonial soft coral. Polyps are small, bell-shaped, with eight feathery tentacles. They are connected by a creeping stolon. Color ranges from blue to purple. It grows quickly and can cover rocks. It is photosynthetic (zooxanthellae). Can be invasive in the aquarium. Reproduces by fragmentation.

Reef aquarium at least 50 liters. Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025. Moderate to intense lighting. Moderate flow. Diet: dissolved nutrients, phytoplankton, but mainly photosynthetic. Compatible with most fish and corals. Beware of rapid growth that can smother other corals. Easy maintenance.
