Beschreibung
The body is oval, brown-yellow with blue spots on the head and back. The dorsal and anal fins are edged in blue. The tail is lyre-shaped. It has a yellow caudal spine. Juveniles have a black spot on the dorsal fin. It is a curious and sociable fish, often seen grazing on algae. It can coexist with other peaceful species.

Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.020-1.025. A minimum 300-liter aquarium is recommended. Herbivorous diet: algae, nori, spirulina, blanched vegetables. It is generally peaceful but may show slight territoriality towards conspecifics. A setup with live rock and open swimming areas is ideal. Good filtration and moderate flow are necessary. Keep nitrates <20 mg/L and phosphates <0.1 mg/L.
