Aquarium of at least 60 L for a school of 6 to 10 individuals. Neutral to slightly alkaline water (pH 6.5-7.5), soft to moderately hard (GH 5-15), temperature 22-26°C. They are omnivorous: accept flakes, pellets, artemia, and daphnia. A setup with plants and open swimming space is suitable. They are peaceful fish, compatible with many species. Breeding is simple: they spawn on a moss substrate.
