Beschreibung
Ecsenius stigmatura grows up to 5 cm. Its body is elongated, light brown to beige, with a distinct black spot on the caudal peduncle. It has tentacles above the eyes and a downward-facing mouth. It feeds on algae and detritus. It is a shy fish that often stays near rocks. It is territorial towards other blennies but peaceful with other species. Its small size makes it suitable for nano-reefs.

This blenny requires an aquarium of at least 50 liters with live rock and algae. Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4. Herbivorous diet: algae, nori, spirulina. It may also accept artemia. A lid is recommended as it may jump. Sensitive to water quality. Keep nitrates low. Can coexist with peaceful fish. Avoid other blennies of the same genus in a small tank.
