Beschreibung
Favia fragum is a massive-encrusting coral with small, numerous polyps. Corallites are polygonal, 2-5 mm in diameter. Color varies from brown to olive green, sometimes with lighter centers. It forms flat or domed colonies, reaching 15 cm. Moderate growth. It tolerates low to moderate light and low flow. It is peaceful and hardy. It reproduces by fragmentation and budding.

Parameters: temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025. Calcium 380 ppm, magnesium 1250 ppm. Low to moderate lighting (PAR 50-100), low flow. Feeding: photosynthetic, may accept phytoplankton. Minimum tank volume 50 liters. Compatible with all reef fish. Easy fragmentation. Very tolerant of nutrients (NO3 up to 20 ppm, PO4 up to 0.2 ppm).
