Garra mullya has an elongated, cylindrical body, grey-brown with golden highlights. A dark horizontal stripe is often present. Its sucker mouth is wide. Fins are transparent with dark rays. It can reach 15 cm. It is a gregarious fish living in schools. It is very active and spends time grazing surfaces. It can be territorial towards other Garra if space is limited. It adapts to various water conditions.

Tank of at least 150 L for a group. Well-oxygenated water with moderate current. Temperature 22-28°C, pH 6.5-7.8, GH 5-20. Sand or fine gravel substrate. Rocks and driftwood for decoration. Omnivorous: accepts flakes, pellets, algae wafers, vegetables. Also offer bloodworms or brine shrimp. Compatible with peaceful fish of similar size. Avoid very calm or long-finned species. Perform 30% weekly water changes. Jumping risk, lid required.
