Beschreibung
Gobiodon micropus is a small fish of the Gobiidae family, reaching up to 4 cm. Its body is elongated and laterally compressed, brown-yellow with bright blue spots on the head and body. It has a continuous dorsal fin and fused pelvic fins forming a sucker. This goby is often associated with branching corals of the genus Acropora, in which it takes refuge. It is territorial but peaceful towards other species. Its coloration allows it to camouflage among coral branches.

This goby requires a mature reef aquarium with Acropora corals to feel secure. Temperature should be maintained between 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4. A minimum volume of 50 liters is recommended for a pair. It feeds on small planktonic crustaceans, mysis, and artemia. It is sensitive to water quality; nitrates should stay below 20 ppm and phosphates below 0.1 ppm. Good water flow is appreciated but not strong currents. It can be kept in pairs or small groups if the tank is large enough. Avoid aggressive fish that may stress it.
