This plant does not require CO2 or strong lighting; low to medium light is enough. Temperature 18-28 °C, pH 6.0-8.0, GH 2-20 °d. It grows even in hard water. Nitrates can be high (up to 40 mg/L) without issue. Frequent pruning is needed to control growth. It propagates easily from cuttings. Minimum tank volume 20 L. Compatible with all fish. Caution: it can be invasive in some regions.
