Pflegehinweise

A minimum tank size of 150 liters is recommended for an adult. Temperature can range from 10 to 25°C, but ideal is 18-24°C. pH should be 6.5-7.5 and GH 5-15. A fine sand or rounded gravel substrate is important to allow burrowing. Hiding places (rocks, driftwood) and subdued lighting are appreciated. It is omnivorous: accepts dry, frozen, and live foods. It is peaceful but may eat very small fish. It is sensitive to water quality, especially nitrates. Efficient filtration is necessary. It can jump, so a lid is essential.
