Description
This Bucephalandra variety is distinguished by its oval to lanceolate leaves, ranging from green to dark red depending on lighting. The creeping rhizomes attach to hard surfaces. Its growth is slow and compact. It produces small white spathe flowers when emersed. In aquariums, it remains submerged and forms dense clumps. The red color is more pronounced with moderate to high light and iron supplementation. It does not require CO2 but benefits from it.

Care notes
Temperature 22-28°C, pH 6-7.5, GH 2-15, KH 1-5. Moderate light to maintain red coloration. CO2 optional. Attach the rhizome to a rock or wood, do not bury it. Iron-rich liquid fertilizer recommended. Minimum tank size 20 liters. Compatible with peaceful fish and shrimp. Avoid bottom-dwelling fish. Prune damaged leaves to stimulate growth.
