Description
This cryptocoryne has lanceolate leaves colored olive green to reddish brown. It grows in a rosette and can reach 15 cm in height. It is very adaptable and tolerates a wide range of conditions. Its growth is slow to moderate. It can flower underwater with a typical Araceae inflorescence. It is an ideal background or midground plant for beginners.

Care notes
Cryptocoryne beckettii prefers low to moderate light. CO2 supplementation is not essential but promotes growth. Water parameters: temperature 22-28°C, pH 6-7.5, GH 3-10. A nutrient-rich substrate is recommended. It may experience 'melting' during sudden changes in conditions. It propagates via stolons. Compatible with most fish. Avoid strong light which may promote algae on leaves.
