Description

Hygrophila lacustris is a stem plant with oblong-lanceolate leaves, light to medium green. It can reach 50 cm in height. Growth is fast and it forms dense clumps. It produces purple flower spikes emersed. It is easy to cultivate and tolerates a wide range of parameters. It is often used in the background of large aquariums. It propagates easily by stem cuttings.
