Description
Laetacara fulvopunctata reaches about 7 cm. Its body is elongated with a gray-brown base color and a series of yellow spots aligned horizontally on the flanks. The fins are transparent with bluish reflections. Males are slightly larger and more colorful. It is a calm fish that spends much time sifting through the substrate for food. It forms monogamous pairs and spawns on hard surfaces. In the aquarium, it cohabits well with other peaceful species.

Care notes
Temperature 24-28°C, pH 6.0-7.5, GH 2-10. A minimum 60-liter tank for a pair. Provide sandy substrate, driftwood, and plants. Varied diet: small pellets, brine shrimp, bloodworms. Compatible with tetras, corydoras, and other dwarf cichlids. Avoid aggressive fish. Regular water changes. Breeding is possible with stable parameters; the female lays eggs on a stone or leaf.
