The Giant Kuhli Loach is an elongated, striped bottom-dwelling fish, peaceful and nocturnal. It enjoys hiding spots and groups of conspecifics.
Description
This loach can reach 10 cm. Its eel-like body is brownish-pink with dark vertical bands. It has small fins and a downward-facing mouth. It is a gregarious fish that must live in groups of at least 3. It is omnivorous and sifts through the substrate for food. Its shy behavior makes it ideal for planted tanks.

Temperature 24-28°C, pH 6.0-7.0, hardness 2-10 dGH. A minimum 80-liter tank for a group. Fine sand substrate to avoid injuries. Many hiding spots (roots, leaves, pipes). Diet: sinking pellets, brine shrimp, worms. Gentle filtration. Sensitive to nitrates and sudden changes.
