Description
The Eyespot Rasbora grows up to 6 cm. Its body is silvery with a characteristic black spot on the dorsal fin, resembling an eye. It also has a fine dark lateral line. It is a schooling fish that lives in shoals in the wild. It is very active and peaceful, making it an excellent choice for community aquariums. Its caudal fin is slightly forked. Under good conditions, golden reflections appear on its flanks.

Care notes
Maintain a temperature between 22 and 26°C, pH 5.5 to 7.0, and GH 2 to 10. A planted aquarium with shaded areas and moderate flow is ideal. Provide a varied diet: flakes, micro-pellets, brine shrimp, and daphnia. A minimum tank volume of 60 liters is recommended for a group of 6 to 8 individuals. This fish is very peaceful and compatible with other small non-aggressive species. Avoid overly active or large tankmates. Good filtration and regular water changes are essential. Breeding is possible in soft acidic water with fine-leaved plants.
