Amphiprion ephippium has a bright orange body with a large red or brown patch on the back, saddle-shaped. A vertical white band behind the eye. Fins are orange. It reaches 10 cm. It is a territorial fish but less aggressive than other clownfish. It lives in symbiosis with anemones (Stichodactyla, Heteractis). It is omnivorous and easy to feed. Captive breeding is possible.

Compatibility: can coexist with other peaceful fish, but territorial towards other clownfish. Ideal in pair. Needs hiding spots. Can be kept in reef. Good filtration required. Sensitive to parameter fluctuations.
