Caridina pareparensis
This shrimp reaches 2-3 cm. Its coloration is brown-green with lighter spots and sometimes a clear dorsal line. The rostrum is medium length. Legs are slender. It lives in rivers of Sulawesi. Its behavior is peaceful and shy, often hiding among plants. It feeds on algae, detritus, and microorganisms. Reproduction is moderate; females carry 20-40 eggs. Juveniles are robust.

Temperature 24-28 °C, pH 6.5-7.5, GH 4-8, KH 2-5. Minimum tank size 30 liters. Omnivorous, accepts shrimp foods, vegetables, and algae. Compatible with peaceful fish. A planted tank with hiding places is ideal. Gentle to moderate filtration. Regular water changes (20% weekly). Reproduction is possible without special intervention if parameters are stable.
