Care notes
Keep a group of at least 5 individuals in a tank of at least 80 L. Water should be soft (GH 3-8), acidic (pH 6.0-6.5) and at a temperature of 24-28°C. A fine sand substrate is essential to protect their barbels. Provide hiding places (roots, plants). They are omnivorous: accept pellets, tablets, bloodworms, artemia. Avoid strong currents. Sensitive to nitrates, keep NO3 < 10 mg/L. Compatible with most small peaceful fish.
