Fundulopanchax gardneri
Fundulopanchax gardneri reaches 6-8 cm. The male is colored blue, green, yellow and red depending on locality. The fins are large and often edged with white. The female is smaller and dull. It is a surface and mid-water fish. It is less aggressive than other killies. It can live more than a year in aquariums. It jumps easily, hence a lid is necessary. It is omnivorous with carnivorous tendency.

Care notes
A tank of 40-60 L for a pair or small group. Water should be soft (GH 3-8), acidic to neutral (pH 6.5-7.0), temperature 24-28°C. A gentle filter. Floating plants and moss appreciated. Carnivorous: artemia, daphnia, small worms. Compatible with other small peaceful fish (rasboras, corydoras) but avoid overly active species. Easy reproduction: spawn on plants or moss, eggs can be collected. No mandatory diapause.
