Red Rainbowfish
Glossolepis incisus
Glossolepis incisus can reach up to 15 cm. Adult males are intense red with silvery reflections, while females are gray-silver. The body is deep and laterally compressed. This species is schooling and requires a large swimming space. It is very active and may jump, so a lid is important. Its reproduction is typical of rainbowfish, spawning on plants. It lives about 6-8 years.
