Julidochromis ornatus
This fish reaches 10 cm and has an elongated body. Its base color is golden yellow with three longitudinal black stripes, the middle stripe being the widest. The fins are adorned with blue spots and red borders. Males are larger and more colorful. It is a monogamous species that forms lasting pairs. It is less territorial than other Julidochromis. It feeds on small invertebrates and algae. Reproduction occurs in crevices, with parents protecting the eggs. In aquariums, it is compatible with other peaceful species.
