Care notes

Keep in an aquarium of at least 200 liters with good filtration and moderate water flow. Ideal temperature is 24-28°C, pH 6.5-7.5, GH 5-15. Feed a varied diet: flakes, pellets, and live/frozen foods (brine shrimp, daphnia). This peaceful species is compatible with other similarly sized fish. Avoid aggressive or very fast-moving species. A planted tank with open swimming areas is recommended. Breeding is possible in a separate tank with fine-leaved plants or a spawning mop. Eggs are laid daily over several days.
