Neritina pulligera is a 2-3 cm snail with a smooth shell, olive to dark brown, sometimes with spiral lines. It is very active and grazes algae on all surfaces. Like other nerites, it does not reproduce in freshwater. It is hardy and easy to keep, but may escape if the tank is not covered.

Parameters similar to N. natalensis: temperature 22-28°C, pH 7.0-8.0, GH 5-15. A tank with natural algae is preferable. Feed with vegetables and calcium supplements. Beware of fish that attack tentacles. It can live in groups without issues.
