Osphronemus goramy is one of the largest labyrinth fish. It can reach 60 cm in captivity. Its body is massive, grey-brown to silvery, with robust fins. It is an intelligent and curious fish, but becomes territorial with age. It requires a huge space and powerful filtration.

Tank of at least 500L or pond. Soft to slightly alkaline water, very powerful filtration. Varied diet: pellets, vegetables, fruits, worms. Beware of jumping, heavy lid. Can coexist with large peaceful fish.
