Blue Damselfish

Pomacentrus caeruleus

FishMarine

Pomacentrus caeruleus reaches 8 cm. Its body is uniformly bright blue, sometimes with silvery reflections. Juveniles may have a paler hue. It is a territorial fish that defends its shelter. It feeds on plankton, algae and small crustaceans. In aquariums, it is active and swims throughout the water column. It can become aggressive towards conspecifics if space is insufficient. Its hardiness makes it an excellent choice for community marine tanks.
