Descripción
The Benga Peacock is a variety of Aulonocara stuartgranti characterized by intense blue on the body and a bright yellow dorsal fin. Males may have orange highlights on the face. Females are grey-brown with vertical bars. Adult size 12 cm. It is a calm cichlid, suitable for Malawi community aquariums. It feeds on small invertebrates and prepared foods. Reproduction is mouthbrooding.

Aquarium of at least 200 liters, pH 7.5-8.5, GH 10-20, KH 8-12, temperature 24-28°C. Rocky decor with sand. Compatible with other peaceful Malawi cichlids. Feed pellets, brine shrimp, bloodworms. Weekly water changes 20-30%. Nitrates <20 mg/L, phosphates <0.5 mg/L. Breeding possible in species tank.
