Descripción

The clown triggerfish has a robust body, black with large white spots on the belly and a yellow saddle on the back. Its mouth is powerful with strong teeth. It is known for its territorial and aggressive behavior, especially towards other triggerfish. It can move rocks and decorations. In aquariums, it requires a large volume and strong filtration. It can reach 50 cm.

Minimum tank volume 600 liters. Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, alkalinity 8-12 dKH. Diet: carnivorous, feed shrimp, fish, mussels, and frozen foods. Very aggressive, should not be kept with shy or small fish. May bite cables and pipes. Not recommended for reef tanks as it eats invertebrates. Needs hiding places and ample swimming space.
