Descripción

Caulastrea tumida is characterized by short, swollen tubular polyps, giving a puffy appearance. Colonies are dense and reach 15 cm. Color varies from green to brown. It is less aggressive than other LPS. It feeds on plankton and particles. Growth is slow to moderate. It is very hardy and tolerates less stable water conditions.
