Descripción

This species has oval to lanceolate leaves of pale yellow-green color. It forms a compact rosette and does not exceed 10-15 cm. Its growth is slow. It prefers moderate light. It is often confused with Cryptocoryne parva but differs by its lighter color. It can flower underwater. It is an excellent foreground plant for small aquariums.

Cryptocoryne lutea is easy to grow. Moderate light is sufficient. CO2 optional. Parameters: temperature 22-28°C, pH 6-7.5, GH 3-10. A nutrient-rich substrate is beneficial. It tolerates varied conditions. Avoid strong light which may burn leaves. Minimum tank size: 20 liters. Compatible with shrimp and small fish. Propagation by stolons.
