Descripción

This aquatic plant has lanceolate to wavy leaves, green to brownish in color. It forms a basal rosette and can reach 30 cm in height. Growth is slow to moderate. It spreads via stolons and can form dense carpets. In aquariums, it prefers low to moderate light. It is sensitive to sudden parameter changes, which can cause crypt melt.

Cryptocoryne spiralis is an easy plant to maintain. It tolerates temperatures of 22-28°C and pH 6.0-7.5, with low to moderate lighting. CO2 addition is not necessary but can be beneficial. A nutrient-rich substrate is recommended. It is suitable for aquariums of at least 20 liters. Avoid sudden water changes. It is compatible with most peaceful fish. Propagation is done by dividing stolons.
