Dascyllus melanurus is a marine fish from the Pomacentridae family. It reaches up to 8 cm. Its body is white with vertical black bands and a black tail. It is territorial but relatively peaceful in a community tank. In the wild, it lives in groups. It is omnivorous and accepts a wide variety of foods.

Marine tank of at least 100 liters, with live rock for hiding. Salinity 1.020-1.025, temperature 24-28°C. Omnivore: feed flakes, brine shrimp, mysis. Beware of intraspecific aggression if kept in small group. Introduce several juveniles together.
