Stable parameters: temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025. Moderate to medium lighting (PAR 100-150) and moderate flow. Nitrates <10 ppm, phosphates <0.1 ppm. Calcium >400 ppm, magnesium >1200 ppm. Feed zooplankton and phytoplankton twice a week. Minimum tank volume 120 liters. Avoid polyp-eating fish. Good flow around the colony is important. Fragmentation possible but delicate.
