This coral forms encrusting or massive colonies with fleshy polyps. Colors range from green to brown, sometimes with purple or red hues. It has well-developed septa and a brain-like surface. Nocturnally active, it extends its tentacles to capture plankton. In aquariums, it tolerates parameter variations well. Its growth is moderate and it can be stressed by overly intense light.

Notas de cuidado

Maintain temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025. Moderate lighting is sufficient, with low to moderate flow. Calcium (400-450 ppm) and magnesium (1250-1350 ppm) levels must be stable. Nitrates < 10 ppm, phosphates < 0.1 ppm. It accepts phytoplankton and zooplankton feeding. A minimum tank volume of 100 liters is recommended. Compatible with most peaceful fish and other LPS corals.
