Descripción

It reaches about 4 cm. Its body is translucent with an iridescent orange stripe from snout to tail. Fins are colorless. A schooling, peaceful and active fish. Less demanding than other tetras. Males are more colorful.

Región :

The glowlight tetra originates from black, acidic waters of the Guiana Shield rivers, with abundant vegetation and a peaty bottom.

Temperature 23–28°C, pH 6.0–7.5, low to moderate hardness. A minimum 60-liter tank for a school of 8. Water can be slightly acidic to neutral. Dense planting and subdued lighting. Diet: flakes, small pellets, brine shrimp. Compatible with most peaceful fish. Very hardy.
