Notas de cuidado

A tank of at least 150 L is recommended for a pair. Ideal temperature is 24 to 28 °C, pH 6.0 to 7.5, and GH 5 to 12 °d. Moderate filtration and weekly 20% water changes are sufficient. They accept flakes, pellets, frozen foods, and vegetables. Compatible tankmates: tetras, corydoras, other peaceful cichlids of similar size. Avoid very small or aggressive fish. Breeding is easy if a suitable substrate (flat rock, pot) is provided.
