Descripción

Elongated body flattened ventrally, with a sucker mouth. The coloration consists of highly contrasting black and white bands or spots. Nocturnal species that spends the day hidden in caves or under roots. Territorial towards conspecifics but compatible with other peaceful fish. Males develop longer odontodes on the opercles. Breeding is possible in aquariums with suitable caves.

Avoid aggressive or highly territorial species.
