This fern has dark green, leathery leaves of variable shape (lanceolate to lobed). It can reach 20-30 cm. It grows from a creeping rhizome. Leaves can produce plantlets on their edges. It should not be planted in substrate. It prefers moderate light. Often used as background or midground plant.

Very easy to maintain. Temperature 20-28°C, pH 6.0-7.5, low to moderate hardness. Low to medium light. No CO2 needed. Attach rhizome to decor. Plantlets can be detached and replanted. Compatible with most fish. Watch for algae if light is too strong.
