The Half-banded Loach is a small striped bottom-dweller, very peaceful and shy. It lives in groups and requires a well-structured tank.
Descripción
This loach reaches up to 8 cm. Its elongated body is pale yellow with incomplete brown bands (half-bands). It has a rounded caudal fin. It is a gregarious fish that must be kept in groups of at least 3. Omnivorous, it feeds on small invertebrates and debris. Sensitive to water quality and prefers soft, acidic water.

Temperature 24-28°C, pH 5.5-6.5, hardness 1-5 dGH. A minimum 60-liter tank for a group. Fine sand substrate, many hiding spots (roots, oak leaves). Diet: sinking pellets, microworms, brine shrimp. Gentle filtration with low flow. Regular but gradual water changes. Delicate species.
