The White Ramshorn Snail has a flat spiral shell, white to cream in color, sometimes slightly translucent. Its adult size is about 2 cm. Like other Ramshorns, it is hermaphroditic and can reproduce alone. It moves slowly and feeds mainly on algae and detritus. It is very hardy and adapts to a wide variety of conditions. Its light color makes it easy to spot on dark plants.
