Descripción

Pocillopora eydouxi is distinguished by its thin, highly divided branches, often broom-shaped. Polyps are small and numerous, giving a velvety appearance. Color is usually brown, green or pale pink. It colonizes high-current areas forming large colonies. Its symbiosis with zooxanthelles provides most of its energy. It is sensitive to parameter fluctuations. In aquaria, it requires intense lighting and strong water movement.

Notas de cuidado

Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025. Intense lighting (PAR >250) essential. Strong to very strong flow recommended. Nitrates <10 ppm, phosphates <0.05 ppm. Calcium 400-450 ppm, magnesium 1300-1400 ppm. Beware of sudden parameter changes. Compatible with other hard corals if enough space. Easy fragmentation. Adult size up to 40 cm.
