Descripción

Pomacentrus pavo reaches 8 cm. Its body is metallic blue-green with iridescent reflections. A black spot is present on the operculum. The fins are often edged with blue. It is a territorial fish but less aggressive than other damselfish. It feeds on plankton, algae and small invertebrates. In aquariums, it is active and swims in open water. It can be kept in pairs or small groups. Its color-changing appearance depending on the viewing angle is very attractive.

Provide live rock and open swimming areas. Can become territorial towards similarly shaped fish. Good filtration is required.
