Descripción

Rotala sp. 'Green' is a fine-stemmed plant with light green leaves, reaching up to 40 cm in height. Its leaves are opposite, narrow and elongated. It grows quickly and forms dense bushes if pruned. Unlike Rotala macrandra, it stays green even under moderate lighting. It is very hardy and adapts to a wide range of parameters. In the aquarium, it is used as a background or midground plant. Its fast growth helps control algae by absorbing excess nutrients.

Notas de cuidado

This plant tolerates low to moderate lighting, but medium light (0.5-0.8 W/L) promotes compact growth. CO2 is not essential but speeds up growth. Temperature 20-28 °C, pH 6.0-7.5, GH 2-15 °d. It accepts slightly hard water. Nitrates can reach 30 mg/L without issue. Regular pruning is recommended to prevent it from getting too tall. It propagates easily from cuttings. Suitable for nano tanks from 20 L. Compatible with all peaceful fish.
