Aphyosemion striatum is recognized by its dark horizontal stripes on a light background, hence its name. It is an elegant killifish and relatively easy to keep.

Descrição

This killifish reaches 4–5 cm. Males have a beige to yellow body with 4–6 brown longitudinal stripes, and fins tinted red and yellow. Females are duller with less distinct stripes. It is a peaceful species, ideal for a community tank of small fish. It prefers soft, slightly acidic water with dense vegetation. Reproduction is classic: substrate spawning (moss or peat) and dry incubation of 3–5 weeks.
