Maintain hard water (GH 10-20, KH 8-12) with a pH of 7.8-8.6 and temperature 24-28°C. A tank of at least 200 liters is recommended with rocks and hiding places. Perform 20-30% weekly water changes. Feed with African cichlid pellets, supplemented with brine shrimp or bloodworms. Avoid overly aggressive tankmates.
