Descrição

This corydoras has a stout, armored body, beige to light gray with small black spots scattered over the body and head. A dark stripe crosses the eye. The fins are transparent with a few black dots. It has well-developed barbels. Like other corydoras, it can breathe air at the surface. It is a schooling species that lives in groups. It is less active than some relatives but remains a good forager. Its modest size makes it an excellent choice for nano tanks.

Notas de cuidados

Keep a group of at least 5 in a 50L minimum tank. Fine sand substrate is essential. Temperature 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.5, GH 2–15. Diet: fine granules, tablets, brine shrimp, daphnia. They are very peaceful and compatible with small fish like tetras or rasboras. Avoid aggressive tankmates. Gentle filtration and regular water changes are recommended. Breeding is similar to other corydoras, with spawning on glass.
