Danio kerri, Kerr's danio, is a small cyprinid from Southeast Asia. It reaches 5-6 cm. Its body is silvery with bright blue and gold horizontal stripes, and its fins are often yellow. Males are more colorful than females. It is a schooling fish that swims in the upper and middle layers. It is very hardy and adapts to various conditions. In the aquarium, it is active and peaceful.

Soft to moderately hard water (pH 6.5-7.5, GH 5-15, KH 3-8) at 22-26°C. A minimum 60-liter tank with plants and open swimming space. Perform 20% weekly water changes. Feed with flakes, fine granules, and live or frozen foods. Keep a group of at least 6. It is an excellent fish for beginners.
