The three-stripe damselfish grows up to 10 cm. Its body is white with three vertical black bands. The fins are white. It is a very active and territorial fish, especially towards other damselfish. It can be aggressive in a small tank. It lives in small groups in the wild. It reproduces by laying eggs on a substrate.

Habitat

This fish lives in coral reefs, often associated with branching corals like Acropora. It frequents lagoons and reef slopes. Juveniles hide among coral branches.
