Descrição
Favia favus forms massive, hemispherical or encrusting colonies. Corallites are polygonal, tightly packed, 3-6 mm, with well-developed septa. Color is usually brown, green or gray, sometimes with colored centers. It can reach 30 cm. Slow growth. It prefers moderate light and moderate flow. It is peaceful and hardy. It is often used in reef aquariums for its robustness.

Feeding: photosynthetic, appreciates zooplankton. Minimum tank volume 100 liters. Compatible with most reef fish. Easy fragmentation. Tolerant of moderate nutrients (NO3 < 15 ppm, PO4 < 0.1 ppm).
