Descrição

Heteractis aurora is distinguished by its short, thick tentacles ending in a small bulb (beaded appearance). Color is usually brown, gray or greenish with lighter tips. It can reach 30 cm in diameter. It is less aggressive than Stichodactyla haddoni. It lives in symbiosis with clownfish such as Amphiprion percula. It attaches to rocks or sand. In aquaria, it is considered easier than other carpet anemones.

Nitrates <10 ppm, phosphates <0.05 ppm. Carnivorous diet: small fish, shrimp, fish pieces. Can be fed 1-2 times per week. Requires a tank of at least 80 L. Avoid very small fish. Compatible with clownfish. May move, so provide a safe area.
